This guitar, donning the colors of the Belgium Flag, got its name from famous Belgian Jean Baptiste "Django" Reinhardt, inventor of the two-finger guitar playing technique (1910-1953). Reinhardt, a gypsy, began his musical career with violin but turned to the guitar for rehabilitation of his left hand, which had been badly damaged in a caravan fire -- pioneering a style of play that involved just two fingers.
